Data Treatment & Retention Transparency Disclosures

1. Data That Is Permanently Deleted

Upon processing your verified deletion request, the following records are permanently removed from all active databases and cloud synchronization clusters:

User profile records (full name, email address, assigned engineering role).
Cryptographically salted PBKDF2/SHA-256 password hashes and security salts.
Hardware device identifiers (Android ID) and offline KeyStore session leases.
Active subscription seat allocations and manager team roster assignments.

2. Data That May Be Retained & Statutory Rationale

Field Inspection Reports & Agency Archives: Because Bridge Inspector Toolbox (BIT) operates with a 100% local on-device architecture, client bridge inspection reports, defect evaluations, and sounding measurements are never stored on central developer servers. However, finalized and certified bridge inspection reports previously exported and submitted to bridge owners or state transportation departments are legal public safety records governed by federal and state retention mandates (including FHWA NBIS 23 CFR Part 650 Subpart C). Retention of those historical records is determined solely by the bridge owner or inspecting agency.

3. Retention & Deletion Schedule

Account deletion requests are reviewed and executed within 30 calendar days. Once finalized, you will receive a confirmation notice at your registered email address.
